Are you a blogger or you just write in your journal, but you always wanted to know if you are good enough to become a recognized writer?
Well, now you have the chance to check if your writing style match any of the famous writers way of writing. Basically this online tool, called I write like, is taking one of your already written text, analyze it, compare it with some of the famous writers out there an return you with a match. Text can be anything with at least few paragraphs, wrote in English and belonging to you (blog posts, journal entry, eventual part of book that your wrote).
I don’t know how accurate is this tool, but I have run a little test to see. I cannot guarantee for the results, but it seems that it can distinct between different writing type. I took 2 texts that I wrote and paste them in the analyzer, one at the time. The text where completely different, one from technical area and another one from travel area. After analyzing both texts, the tool return me with the following badge:
So, I write like Cory Doctorow. OK, fine!
I was thinking that maybe it is some automatic tool that promote the work of Cory Doctorow, and I add another text. I head of to Mashable.com and took their first trendy story there. It was about UAE banning BlackBerry communication by Ben Parr. I pasted the text into the tool and the name which came up was:

I Write Like by Mémoires, Mac journal software. Analyze your writing!
It seems that Ben Parr (btw, thanks for your text) is writting like David Foster Wallace. Again, I don’t know how accurate is this tool and actually I don’t think you can measure it, but it’s a fun way to check up your texts and see which famous writer are you like.
